Trinidad School of Nursing (TSN) will increase opportunities for residents of Trinidad, improve healthcare in the region, and create a more sustainable healthcare system in Honduras. TSN is a three-year public nursing program in Trinidad, Honduras. The school opened in February 2018 and its first cohort of 13 students will graduate in summer 2022, after completing their yearlong clinical rotations. They will then go on to provide much-needed healthcare for the surrounding communities.
Monitoring Our Impact
Our goal is a graduation rate at or above 90% beginning in summer 2022, and placement in community health jobs or continuation of nursing education for at least 80% of graduates.

Our Educational Research Department will follow up with all graduates at quarterly intervals for the first year post-graduation, followed by semi-annual questionnaires to obtain further information on their career development. This will enable us to track our student outcomes and conduct research on the evolving nursing environment in Honduras. Over time, we will develop a comprehensive alumni network and a mentorship program to assist future nurses in their career paths.
